It's true! All people are poets… it's just that they don't know it ... yet!
Whether you're an experienced rhymer or a complete newcomer, our Rhyming Rambles poetry writing workshop is just the thing to ignite your muse.
We'll be taking a leisurely amble around the Lount Nature Reserve, drawing inspiration from the flora and fauna, folklore and local history of the site, and completing some simple creative writing exercises along the way.
Armed with our gathered prompts, we'll return to our wonderful new event structure, The House of Bombadil, for a delicious afternoon tea, discussion and sharing.

  • What You Need To Know!
  • This workshop is for EVERYONE.  You do not need to have written poetry before.
  • The walk is around the nature reserve on fairly level paths, but there are a few ups and downs so not suitable for wheelchairs.
  • Good shoes or boots advisable.
  • The route is about 2 miles but we will be stopping frequently to complete the prompts.
  • Bring a pen & note book.
  • Tea & cake will be served in The House of Bombadil at the end of the walk.
