Great Start For Folk On The Farm Choir!

Our new community choir got off to a great start when we launched last night with numbers exceeding our modest expectations.  Fourteen songsters were put through their paces by choir master, Willow Songsmith, with more expected to join our ranks over the next few weeks.

Beginning with physical and vocal warm ups we continued with a couple of traditional rounds before tackling more demanding pieces requiring 3 and 4 part harmonies including the Pentonville version of While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night.

This is nothing like the canned adaptation blasting out of shopping mall tannoys!  Amazingly, considering this was the first time we’d ever sung together, we managed to make a very fair attempt at the two parts we were taught during the evening.

There’s more about our choir here.
