Samhain-Halloween Tale Spinning

Friday 28th October, 7 pm – 10 pm

Newbold School, Coleorton

Join us for an evening of storytelling, poetry and music celebrating the end of the Celtic year when our rural ancestors prepared to move from the light to the dark time of winter.

It was also a time when the veil between the worlds grows thin.  When ghosts, goblins and witches are abroad and for some, the pathways to that strange land of faerey beckon in the moonlight beneath a midnight field of stars!

The first half of the evening will be an “Open Mic” for stories, poems and music celebrating Samhain or Halloween.  It will be led by the Folk On The Farm community choir, but anyone with a story, poem, song or piece of music on theme is welcome to join in.

If you wish to perform, please email for details!

The second part of the evening professional storyteller, Sophie Snell will perform the much acclaimed,  SEVEN DEADLY SINS a set of stories covering the darkside of the human condition!
