Roots Community Singers sing and perform a wide range of English and World Folk music.
Mainly acappella, (singing without musical accompaniment), it is open to all comers irrespective of ability, (or lack of it!).  You do not have to be able to read music and will not be asked to sing solo or perform in public unless you wish.

Here’s some video which will give you an idea of what we do!

We’re very fortunate to have Willow Songsmith as our leader.  Willow is a very experienced choir master having led many community choirs and workshops for all types of acappella singing.
An accomplished musican in his own right, he performs locally with his band as well as being involved with other musical projects.
Well not unless you’re up for it!  No one will be forced to go public if this is not their bag!  It is more important that you enjoy singing with us than becoming stressed out through stepping into the limelight!
Having said that, our choir runs in 6-8 week “blocks.”  Depending on time of year and interest, each block may end with a performance.
