2011 Arts Festival
This year’s Ashby Arts Festival will feature a live performance of Sleet, Shoots and Leaves, based on Sue Kendrick and Lois Crofton’s highly acclaimed poetic and photographic journey through the National Forest.
The poems and songs from the book will be performed during the town’s Art Festival and will feature the songs and music of Julie Holland with additional photography from Ruth Gillespie and specially written stories from nationally acclaimed storyteller, Sophie Snell for an eclectic evening of stunning visuals, original music and song plus riveting storytelling!
FOLK ON THE FARM
– ASHBY ARTS FESTIVAL 2009 AFTERMATH
We got wall to wall sunshine and a great
crowd at all our events!
Well over 100 made the Friday night Ceilidh
and all our workshops were well supported.
The performers evening that rounded off
the weekend turned into one big party with our band, Calling Time, ratching
up the rhythm to get the audience dancing in the aisles!
Take a look at our photo album and you’ll
see what I mean! Folk on the Farm Photos
Thanks to everyone that came, hope to see
you at another of our events.
