Well Done The Choir And What A Great Party!

What a great time we had at our winter Solstice/Christmas party!

Our newly formed choir led the way show casing a jolly set of seasonal songs which were taught by our choir master, Willow Songsmith in just seven weeks!

This rousing set was followed by Jane Reynold’s story about the origins of the winter solstice with Jan Robertson picking up the baton with a thought provoking song about peace and war …

Next up were Brian Kendrick, Ruth Gillespie and Jane Reynolds otherwise the fiddlers three!

A little Spanish next courtesy of Madeleine McCormack!

Greetings From My Hedge – A lovely seasonal poem by Lois Crofton …

Sue Kendrick, Ruth Gillespie and Jane Reynolds give Holly Boy and Ivy Girl a Solstice airing!

More poetry from Julie Cooper with Uncle John’s pig!

Sue Wheeler whistles up some magic including one of her own tunes, the Hurlers …

The Four Horsemen of the apocalypse?

Bring on the Three Craws!  (Brian Crofton and Andy Brown joined by Jan Robertson).

Willow and Jan restore sanity!

… joined by the rest of the Folk On The Farm musicians …

Finally … Calling Time get us kicking up the sawdust!

    What a great party!
It was good to see so many people getting up and having a go, especially Jane…….what a brilliant story…….and her first public performance.
Maybe next time Sue will grace us with a rendering from her Melodeon. (Things are getting better, really they are).
    Well done Sue.
    Thankyou.
    Happy New Year to All.

Melodeon? That might be the quickest way of emptying the hall!
