Sing The Solstice!

Irrespective of what the weather is doing, summer-is-a-here and is definitely worth singing about which is why we’re looking for as many people as possible to join our brand new, Folk On The Farm Community Choir!

We’re launching with a series of three monthly sessions beginning with Sing The Solstice.  This great sing out will celebrate the return of life to our lovely green and growing land through a range of toe-tapping songs drawn from the English and world folk tradition.

It takes place on Sunday, 19th June, 2.00 pm–5.00 p.m. on the  farm,  Price £10.  If we’ve done enough to invoke some decent weather, we’ll finish with a pic-nic!

Sing The Solstice is the first event in a summer series which will be followed up by further sing outs in July and August.  Hopefully these sessions will provide funding for a winter series which will move into Newbold School on a more regular basis.

To make it happen, we need your support so please join us and let’s see if we can’t drum up a rousing chorus of community spirit along with the return of the green king of summer!
